Required contents of a takedown notice
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information sufficient to locate it on our website or community channel (URL, message link, screenshot, or equivalent).
- Your contact information (mailing address, telephone number, and email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Counter-notification
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification including: your contact information; identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, the federal district court for the District of Wyoming); and your signature.
Repeat infringers
VeraChain Labs may terminate accounts and ban participants in our community channels who are determined, in our reasonable discretion, to be repeat infringers.
False claims
Knowingly submitting a materially false DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
